It’s that time… I’m finally graduating high school!
My Journey
I have earned a 4.12 GPA and completed nine AP courses. My involvement in the band has earned me two varsity letters, and my 1,000 hours of community volunteer work has earned me four more varsity letters.
I have been a member of the National Honor Society for three years, and secretary for two of those.
Outside of school, I have earned my black belt in taekwondo and been promoted to instructor and coach at my studio, Twin Tigers Taekwondo in Tacoma. Traveling around the country and competing or attending advanced training camps, has given me new skills that I bring back to my students. I am looking forward continuing my journey in this discipline by joining the UW Huskies Taekwondo Team this fall.
I have continued working at my landscaping company, Kira Mows, which I started in fifth grade. Adding new customers and growing my revenue year after year has allowed me to put away a good amount of money for college, and it funds my obsession, KPOP music, as well as providing valuable skills such as time management, equipment maintenance and working with the public.
While I’d love to say I’m done with school, there’s still more to come. I will be attending the University of Washington in Seattle this fall, and plan to major in biochemistry for the Pre-Med track.
For those unable to attend my graduation in person, the Puyallup School District is providing a live stream event through Youtube. This will go live on Saturday, June, 11th at 9:00am.
